AWAITING

There are those who believe thinking about the future is futile and we should instead focus on the present. But what is today without wondering and envisioning a better tomorrow. It is precisely those forward-looking thoughts which helped us through today.

Wondering how different things will be this time. Thinking how we are about to embark on living together in an unconventional way. Though only a month this time it is better than two weeks or nine days.

Expectations are realistic as we realise this is not so much a vacation as it is about living a family life. Awaiting our future helps us get through these days when we are apart. Days we have only modern technology at our disposal. Most couples might have given up by now, and we certainly have had our moments of almost giving up, but something keeps us going. Something which neither of us understands.
